The Association Everything is subjected to the changes of time. Man’s drive for freedom, however, remains constant, and freedom not least implies thinking freely.
Tito Tettamanti
Constant change and increasing complexity demand an active and committed civil society. The Civil Society Association seeks to create and strengthen this consciousness so that society can act as a dialectical corrective of political and economic structures.
Mission Founded in 1996, the Civil Society Association brings together personalities from the economy, science, politics and culture to cultivate a dialogue. The Association’s goal is not only to foster a culture of civil debate, but also to propagate it as a basis for the peaceful resolution of social challenges: listening to what others are saying, being open for debates and having the courage to unconventional ideas – this is the paradigm embodied by the Association.
Activities The Civil Society Association holds every year alternatively a colloquium and a Advisory Council conference. The thematic focus of the events organized by the Association rests on current challenges that civil society sees itself faced with: values , democracy und Switzerland's future .
The most important insights and conclusions from the events are published.
Moreover the Association mandates studies and and expert reports on political, social and economic issues.
